Valicia Valiani has been dancing since she was 3 in various styles including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical and Contemporary. Valicia trained in the Seattle area at a number of studios including Ninth Avenue School of Dance, Westlake Dance Center, Cornish College and spent many summers at Walla Walla SDL program. She performed in several performance groups, competition teams and Ballet’s. After high school she made the Washington State University Crimson Girls where the team placed second in USA Collegiate Nationals two consecutive years and after graduating, she stayed in Pullman to coach the Crimson Girls for the 2007-2008 season. After college, she moved back to Seattle where she continued dancing for Aria Dance Company and Aeon Contemporary as well as teaching at CDT Studio and 9th Ave School of Dance. Valicia also took over as Head Coach of the Todd Beamer High School Dance Team. In those 8 years, Beamer’s competition record was one 3rd place finish, three 2nd place finishes, four State Championships and her final season they won 1st in Championship Division Hip Hop at the 2016 USA Nationals in Anaheim, CA. Valicia and her Husband relocated to Quincy two years ago to get away from the city and they love it here. Since the move Valicia has found new ways to contribute to the dance community; she is now a board member of the National Dance Coaches Association, working on her National Judge certification and plans to work with other High School teams around the country. Valicia is thankful to have the opportunity to continue doing what she loves in her new community!
Mari began dancing in her home town of Cle Elum, WA at the age of 7; where she studied ballet, jazz, tumbling and theater. Mari began dancing in her home town of Cle Elum, WA at the age of 7; where she studied ballet, jazz, tumbling and theater. Mari discovered that she loved performing and was quickly moved to the competition dance team where she earned numerous titles including 5 time Grand National Overall Champion and 4 time National High Score Champion Soloist. Mari discovered that Ballet was her love and moved her training to The Dance Centre in Ellensburg, WA under the direction of Christine Patterson/Zeigler of the Royal Ballet in London. At The Dance Centre Mari thrived. She performed numerous ballet variations including Don Quixote, Coppelia, Nutcracker, The Dying Swan and many others. She was also fortunate to study jazz under Betsy Haug (broadway/Las Vegas choreographer and personal choreographer to stars like Tina Turner and Liza Minnelli) Betsy also choreographed several custom jazz numbers for Mari. Mari auditioned for Pacific Northwest Ballet's intensive summer school and was accepted 4 years in a row. She then was accepted as an official Pacific Northwest Ballet student on full merit scholarship. Mari has received training and classes from dance greats such as David Howard, Deborah Hadley, Patricia Barker and Nina Danilova. Mari attended the prestigious Walnut Hill School of the Arts and later attended Cornish College of the Arts as a Dance Major. Mari now lives in Quincy with her husband and 4 wonderful children. She looks forward to sharing her love of dance and performing with the community.
Rachelle VanDyke was born and raised in Federal Way, WA. She lives in Quincy with her Husband, dog, and cat! She started dance at age 5 in Virginia at a recreation center. When her family moved back to Washington after her dad's retirement from the Coast Guard, she began dance at Ninth Avenue School of Dance located in Federal Way. Rache
Rachelle VanDyke was born and raised in Federal Way, WA. She lives in Quincy with her Husband, dog, and cat! She started dance at age 5 in Virginia at a recreation center. When her family moved back to Washington after her dad's retirement from the Coast Guard, she began dance at Ninth Avenue School of Dance located in Federal Way. Rachelle continued her training and performing there along with taking intensives at Evergreen City Ballet. She was apart of a performance dance group, Showstoppers, which was Jazz and lyrical/contemporary. She also was apart of Aria, a dance performance company that did Jazz, Ballet, and Modern. She has done numerous performances including years in the Nutcracker through Ninth Avenue School of Dance. Rachelle went on to Western Washington University were she got a degree in Physical and Health Education. She also studied dance and choreography while in college. Rachelle has many years of experience teaching dance. She started at Ninth Avenue in High School and continued to teach. She now is a Kindergarten Teacher earning her Master's through Grand Canyon. For fun she enjoys yoga, hiking, and is a huge TV and movie fan. Rachelle is excited for this upcoming year!
